A day of free samples and fun on the farm, plus explore what we offer for CSA farm shares, see a pickup in action, learn how our Pick Your Own fields work, find out how to make your own strawberry jam, and more! Whether you’ve been a CSA member for years or want to visit and shop at the store for the first time, you’ll find something fun and informative during Celebrate the CSA Day this Saturday at the farm in Granby. And if you’ve been thinking about getting a CSA but have some questions, you definitely want to join us!
Don’t forget it’s the kick-off to strawberry season – learn how to make fresh strawberry jam with Deb Winicki to preserve your own little piece of summer, and taste our organic strawberries. Hope to see you there!

10-4, All Day HAPPENINGS:
• See a CSA farm share pickup in action
• Taste our organic Strawberries
• Get recipe tips from the Be Wellness health coaches
• Samples of seasonal Produce and Local Products
• Raffle and Door Prizes

11:30 AM – CSA Lifehacks – 10 quick ways to deal with your abundance of CSA veggies! With Mary Leal, long-time CSA Coordinator and local eater.

12:30 AM – Pick-Your-Own (PYO) Orientation: Learn how to read the PYO boards and take full advantage of the PYO fields over the season

2:00 PM – Cooking with a CSA Share: Learn tips and tricks for using all the delicious veggies you can expect in your weekly CSA share. Great for CSA members and for people wanting to eat with the local seasons.

3:00 PM – Strawberry Jam Making: Find out how to make jam from fresh fruit, and can it using the water bath canning method. Get all your questions answered from a very experienced home-preserver, Deb Winicki.

Nothing is better than homemade jam made with top quality, local, organic strawberries. You can preserve the peak of the harvest for enjoying all winter.
