Red Fire Farm is seeking a detail oriented and well organized person to fill a unique year-round position at the farm. We are looking for someone to keep our robust CSA program thriving. The ideal candidate will have customer service and sales oriented experience, and be great at planning ahead and working with timelines. We can train you up for farming as long as you have great organizational skills to bring with you. 

As the CSA Program Administrator, you will be the main point of contact for our CSA site coordinators and hosts, and oversee membership care for 1300 farm share members. You keep the program running smoothly by planning ahead, keeping excellent communications, developing deeper relationships with members and CSA sites, and coordinating customer service and sales at the farm office with our office team. This position also works with lots of great local producers to order items for our CSA shares, from eggs, fruit, and cheese, to coffee, pantry items and more. 

The ideal candidate for this role would have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Customer service experience via phone and email
  • Great computer skills; must be confident with Microsoft Office Suite and email inbox management
  • Time management and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Experience organizing events or coordinating the work of other staff
  • Familiarity with Facebook and social media
  • Must have a good attitude and be willing to learn
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly and easily

Not required but a plus:

  • Previous database management experience
  • General knowledge of CSA programs, local food systems, organic farming and produce

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing customer service that exceeds expectations and also enjoys the challenge of making things work, as there are a lot of moving parts. Previous leadership experience is considered a plus but not required. Being able to work well on a team and communicate clearly are vital to success in this role.

SCHEDULE & HOURS: This position starts immediately and continues year round, about 35 weekly hours the majority of the year, with a quieter time in January to mid-March. The ideal candidate would be interested in working with the farm for multiple seasons to help grow the CSA program. This job requires flexible hours during busy CSA times. Regular schedule can be planned with you, and would be mainly Monday-Friday. One remote work day weekly is possible if desired.

Due to the nature of farming, managers are expected to be available to work on the holidays that occur during the active farming season, and to be flexible with the length of work days during the busy season.

SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience, includes paid time off, plus all the organic produce you can eat.
