Afternoon Strawberry Tasting at the Farm - Free!

2-5 pm in the fields at 184 Meadow Road, Montague

   Join us at the farm in Montague for a celebration of the strawberry during the peak of picking season! We grow at least nine varieties of strawberries, each with their own flavor.
   Come in the afternoon to try a tasting of the many strawberry varieties, enjoy some live music from Below the Gaff, take the Walking Tour, have fun at the Fairy House Building workshop, and pick your own organic berries (we open the patch to the public for just this day!).

Strawberry shortcake for sale! Seasonal produce stand with our vegetables for sale. Also, quarts of our strawberries and local cream to take home!

10 AM-6 PM Farmer's Market Booth with seasonal produce and local cream
2-5 PM Strawberry Varietal Tasting, Home-made Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Covered Strawberries for Sale.

2-3 PM Walking Tour of the farm's new Interpretive Trail (by Mount Grace)
2:30-5 PM Below the Gaff plays live Celtic and Pirate music.
4-5:30 PM Fairy House Building

5:30-6 PM Cheese and Strawberry Opening Course (included with dinner)
6-8 PM Strawberry Feast in the Field
5:30-8 PM Live music from Masala Jazz.

Strawberry Feast in the Fields

   Later in the afternoon, join us for a lovely meal in the strawberry fields. Mosey on over to the field starting around 5:30, dinner at about 6pm. Created by guest Chef Mary Reilly - who until recently was chef owner of the Newburyport farm-to-table Enzo Restuarant & Bar before moving to Montague this winter to run the Edible Pioneer Valley magazine. Featuring seasonal organic produce from our farm and local products from other area farms!

Field Greens with Ricotta Salata and Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette

Soup:
Cucumber Gazpacho with a splash of Strawberry Molasses

Entrees:
Farm Egg Roulade with Wilted Greens
or
Roasted Vegetable Casserole with White Beans and Herbs

Sides:
Wheatberry Pilaf with Pickled Shallots, Preserved Lemon, and Garlic Scape Pesto
&
Beet, Kohlrabi and Spring Cabbage Salad

Dessert:
Strawberry Cake with Fresh Whipped Cream

Drinks:
A Regional Wine, or Hard Cider
and
Strawberry Lemonade

Vegan and Gluten Free* options will be available! Live music during dinner!
