Every year, we have an unbelievable selection of amazing and often award-winning tomatoes for you to taste. It’s a great day at the farm, with everything from cooking demonstrations to live music to crafters and a smorgasbord of local fare from area producers. Come and visit!

This is our main festival day, with festival activities
open 12-6 PM.

GUEST CHEFS & WORKSHOPS
12 PM – A More than 100-Year-Old Recipe for Green Tomato Relish with Wilhelmina Ryan, includes water-bath canning technique.
1:15 PM – Auntie Cathie’s Favorite Tomato Recipes Tasting Course. Taste and learn how to make Tomato Salad with Peach Vinaigrette, Tricolor Tomatoes with Marinated Full Moons, and Tomato Gazpacho!
2:15 PM – Culinary Herbs as Healers: Learn the many medicinal uses of common kitchen herbs with Susan Pincus from Sawmill Herb Farm. Then you can go find the herbs in our PYO fields!
3:15 PM – Getting Stacked and Sauced with Tomatoes- raw and cooked recipe ideas and nutrition tips with Be Wellness

WILD EDIBLES WALKS
Traverse the fields and hedgerows with Leslie Cerier, chef and author of “Going Wild in Your Kitchen.” Leslie teaches cooking and has authored 6 cookbooks based on our local harvests. She will walk and teach you her knowledge of how to mix and match the peak season crops with herbs, edible flowers, and wild foods to create delicious and inspired foods for yourself and friends.

Gather before these times at the back of the big barn, and then head out on the walk!

On the MUSIC STAGE
12 PM – Lunar Carnival – summery Americana with beautiful strings and vocal harmony.
1:35 PM – NOFA Mass speech for Keeping the Soil in Organic, with Rally parade around the festival following.
2 PM – Larry Dulong and Random Sightings – a seasoned old-school band, like a cross between Bruce Springsteen and the Prarie Home Companion Band.
4 PM – Joshua Baum – roots indie rock.
5 PM – Mill River Rounders – old-time hoe down!

Free Parking in the Brown Ellison Park next door, up Carver street in our neighbor’s yard, and at a farm field on Brooke Street by the Town Line sign. Self-serve.

TOMATO FEST DINNER SATURDAY

Saturday August 26, 2017 at 6pm
A multi-course feast on the farm, featuring specialty varieties of tomatoes in each dish.

Pre-order dinner tickets online, $60-65.

SUNDAY 8/27

Free and open to the public. A quieter day, with lots of gorgeous tomatoes to peruse, and a cherry tomato theme.
