Four knowledgeable guides lead you through the Red Fire Farm greenhouses, spring fields and wild lands – to find all kinds of things to taste.
Wonderful for a Mothers’ Day gift, or to get outside for a great time on the farm.
Experienced outdoor guide and herbalist from Her Wild Roots in Leverett, MA, Jean Bergstrom, will guide us through the wilder parts of the farm to uncover the tasty edibles that grow on their own. Farmer Sarah Voiland will show you the inside of our greenhouses and give tastes of the first harvests of English-style cucumbers and such, and then out to the field to see the asparagus growing. We will also learn tips along the way for getting the most nutrition from our spring foods, from Kelly McLellan and Danielle Meunier of Be Wellness.
The tour will end in the barn with a cooking demonstration and tasting of a spring recipe by Be Wellness and a wild recipe by Jean, with recipes and a gift to take home.
